VoIP

How do I make or receive a VoIP call?

There are essentially 3 different ways to use the CareSquad VoIP service:

1. Using a softphone - This is essentially a piece of software on your computer or your smartphone, that uses your microphone and speaker (Or headset if you have one attached) to make and receive the call. At CareSquad we have our own apps for you to use! You can download our VoIP Apps, and you can actually invite yourself to the apps from your own dashboard!

2. You can use a VoIP-enabled phone. The phone we recommend for starting out is the Grandstream GXP1625 - this phone gives you basic functionalities such as placing on hold, transferring, and conferences. They’re nice and simple to set up, and we have an FAQ for this!

3. Forwarding calls to mobiles - You can use our call routing option to forward calls to a mobile number. This isn’t using our service to its maximum capabilities, but it is possibly the easiest way to use the service. You can just tell our system to send the call to a specific number whenever someone calls your CareSquad number!
